Chicken with Red Pepper Harissa Sauce
Grilled or sauted chicken with this sweet and spicy red pepper sauce will knock your socks off!!
Ingredients
- 1 package Chicken, sliced thin
- 1 12 oz. jar Roasted Red Peppers
- 1/4 cup Light tasting oil
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1/4 tsp Ground Corriander
- 1/4 tsp Ground Tumeric
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar or 1 packet Stevia
- 1 Tbls Sriracha or hot sauce of choice
- 1 Tbls Water
Instructions
-
Marinate the Chicken with Mrs. Dash Onion and Herb (sprinkle over chicken and toss to coat, let sit 10 min.)
Sauté or grill chicken until done.
-
To make the Harissa sauce, add the next 9 ingredients together in a food processor or blender. Blend until sauce is formed. Put sauce in bowl.
-
When chicken is cooked cover each piece with a good tablespoon of the Harissa.
The Harissa is room temp but you can microwave for 45 or so seconds to heat it up if you wish.
We also serve the sauce over the Jasmine rice.
-
This would also be a great pasta dish, make the Harissa and grill some chicken. Toss all together with the pasta and top with some fresh grated Parmesan cheese!
Tip... I could have totally doubled this recipe 🙂
